Hello, I am Harris Tanweer

I graduated Lake Forest College with a degree in Computer Science. During my undergraduate studies I interned at Uline as a Software Developer for 8 months. Upon graduation I then started working at Uline full time as an Associate Software Developer. My hard work was honored with a promotion to Software Developer, and that is where I have been making an impact since.

In my role I have led and been apart of several key projects part of several domains like Customer, Enterprise, and Warehouse. I have supported business needs by developing always available and scalable web applications with Java and Angular. I have designed and developed REST API endpoints with Spring Boot to fit our business needs while ensuring high performance at all times. I have experience interacting and connecting microservices to an array of database technologies like Cassandra, MsSQL, DB2 LUW, and DB2 AS400. I also received my Apache Cassandra 3 Developer Associate Certification after completing the assigned training.

In my time at University I learned to create web applications with the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) stack. A couple of which are on this website. Additionally, I designed and implemented several API's with PHP. I learned to manipulate and analyze data with Python in courses like Programming for Data Applications. I used a variety of libraries like Pandas, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib, NumPy, SciPy, Seaborn, etc

In my free time I love to workout and play basketball, and when I have the time, play video games on my PC and Nintendo Switch. Recently I have been really enjoying playing pickleball and rock climbing. I used to play paintball when I was younger, so I have been getting back into that as well!
